"Hello. My name is Tin and I think you might actually be older than me on this site, but in case im wrong, im going to pretend youre new. Bear with me, alright? :/
There is already a thread for poetry in the hobbies section, so please stop making new threads and also, don't get too bummed out if everyone doesn't just jump up at once to edit your stuff. It takes time for people to want to get involved with a new kid (no? Yes? Whatever). Id try to make an intro thread in the introductions section, that is.
As far as your poem goes. It doesn't feel honest. The actual writing is a bit rough but theres potential and the structure is decent, but overall you just sound like you're forcing these hard, cold, pseudo-philosophical questions and they irk me. Yes this is harsh, but I can tell when people aren't honest in their poetry and your stuff just feels like somebody else wrote it for you. If you find none of that true, you just need to keep working on it. Edit it. Try to give yourself a different topic or type of poetry and get out of your comfort zone. It'll make you a better writer, I can assure you.
Basically it just wasn't great and there's always a reason for that. If you have to write from a certain place inside yourself to get that honest or touchy feely or relateable edge, do it. Or go in from a different angle, but I don't know. It was good, it just could've been better. Again I apologize for the harshness, but is that what you were looking for?"

-Yes, this "Tin" guy wrote a paragraph message for me...
-Here's a picture of the 253 views total (I might get even more in a few days :P)
-You can see I used a fake name :) Good for me

What I Want

Original Poem:

What I Want

Does "What" stand for money?
Will it keep me
Smiling
For the rest of my life?

Does "What" stand for love?
Or will it just fade away
someday
and leave me alone?

Does "What" stand for wisdom?
Is there a point in knowing
everything
When you know it won't last forever?

Does "What" stand for peace?
Do you even think that this
value
even exists anymore?

Does "What" stand for happiness?
but isn't there always a
tear
behind every laugh?

Does "what" stand for fame?
But I'll just be
forgotten
like everyone else

Is there even a point in wanting
something
when I'll just lose it all in the
end?

Mother's Day Poem

You are the white rose in the pile
The one that stands out
I can see you from a mile
Away, i just have to shout

When I'm lost, I give you a call
When I'm down
You stop me before I fall
Because you never let me drown

Your humor is the sun
I never know when it comes
It shines like a bad pun
Wakes me up when it hums

Happy mother's day
You're one of a kind
It's hard for me to say
But you are always on my mind

Sealand Newspaper Articles

Yesterday, in Sealand Park, we had chosen the contestants for the game of FIGHTING WITH ROBOTS, a game played once a year. This year, we have an even more advanced technology and we came up with puzzling robot parts that made them harder to defeat. We have people controlling the robots with special devices known as ACEBOTS and they have improved since our last fight. From our rallies, we have chosen three lucky contestants to play and only the winners would go home with the prizes. This year's prizes are $1000 plus a servot (robot servant) to take home. Our three contestants, chosen by random, are John Smith, Bob Roberts, and Sandy King. The instructions for the game is written below:

The three contestants must wear protective gear at all times.
They may only use weapons designed for them.
The purpose of the game is to defeat three different robots.
It is not competition between the humans, but teamwork
The contestants may use their brain power to help.
The contestant must sit out if their armour shines red (they have been killed-not real)
The winner(s) win when all three robots have been killed

Last year, we had two winners. We will await to see how these three new chosen ones do in the game tomorrow. For those who don't know, the game is at the ROGCENTER in Sealand Park. Everyone is welcome to watch. Thank you, -Mei Ling Kwok (Trader and minister of SealandSports)

A new Portal Maze is going to be opened in the arena. It will be ready in two weeks. The portal maze is for children under the age of 12 to play. It is like a telepathic playground where you must talk with the other children to make them work as a team. The objective of this playground is to find the exit. The more children, the more energy will build up and the more smoothly the playground will run. Because it is the first time we have made something so complicated, parents must accompany their kids and watch them play.

Every sunday, there are car races. Competitors compete with their abilities to win. Yesterday, there was a game and for the first time, there has been an injury because the car went off track. This has never happened before and we are sad that Donald Quack's head cracked open. He is paralyzed and he may not be able to walk again. His family and friends were shocked to hear of this news and we hope for the best of him. As a result, the car race has been temporarily stopped for three weeks to fix the car problems and to make better roads for the cars to go. We are sorry for any inconveniences, but the CAR Arena will allow not any entry during this time.

A new event has been created by the new government and it is called BUNGEE JUMPING. Because the jump from the helicopters is so high up, we are testing out the gear and equipment on Deviation animals first. In about a few days, people can sign up for thrilling experiences and fly like a bird. Each jump will cost $50 for ages 10 to 20 and $55 for ages 21 and above. We hope our new event is going to turn out well.

The Lovely Setting

A dream
clustered on the curve of a big blue bay
the traffic in the streets were strange
carts running with no horses to pull them
wonderful, beautiful, facinating place. lovely ciry.

THE STREETS
THE BUILDINGS
THE WATERFRONT

My territory
Down the far side of the bank, had worn a sandy gully
The shaking of top twigs in a bunch of bushes
The distant hills, just a part of this world
and no more to be wondered at than

THE RIVER
THE SKY
THE HILLS

Our district
and consequently, our house as the first there
was called waknuk because of a tradition
within the house, life centered, the local custom

THE LIVING ROOM
THE KITCHEN
THE FIREPLACE

Pride, matter of being conscieous
kept very clean and tidy
composed of pieces of brick and stone

THE HEARTH
THE CHIMNEY
THE FURNITURE

Their Fate in my Hands

A poem from Friar Lawrence's perspective
____________________________________________

Juliet, o fair maiden,
I'm the only hope, you say
As the night goes by
I will make sure
The plan goes right

Romeo, my son
We will end the feud
But if it does not work out
Your love will continue
On another star

My potion, my hope
Given by God's hands
You are the ones to unite
I will bring peace
I keep my promises
